This video shows what I believe influenced Zelda and Sheik's moves.

This video starts out by briefly discussing the roles Zelda played in The Legend of Zelda games she was featured in. Since the Sages are related to her roles, I discuss them too. Basically, since she shows supernatural and magical abilities in some of the games she was in, I believe this is why she was given a magic-based moveset in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So, I do my best to be comprehensive about Zelda's abilities in certain Legend of Zelda games to not only relate to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but to better cover her character from a "history" perspective. This part of the video is only about the first five minutes though.

The rest of the video discusses specific moves and should be less subjective about what I believe influenced each individual one.

If you're wanting to jump to the history behind her Final Smash, it starts at 17:37.

And just to be clear... Much of the original material for Zelda is based on dialogue and cutscenes, which helped contribute to this video's length.

  • It seems odd that you didn't include footage from WW considering it's the first example (as I recall) of Zelda using the light arrows herself rather than Link using them. Also, in WW (and in MM too I believe) the Light Arrows are an instant kill on normal enemies, in line with their appearance in Brawl (although they killed by teleporting enemies away rather than sending them flying.

The fact you didn't show WW for the sound from the down-B could imply it wasn't possible to record it though...

  • You could argue that, since Zelda is the leading Sage, she has the utmost control of Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, and Farore's Wind, therefor managing much more direct use of these power whereas Link might not have the type of control that Zelda possesses.

  • @hgnbfc2 minda doesn't die. keep playing

  • Wow! Spoilers! Well at least NOW I know minda dies at the end of TP. Even though I am not EVEN half way through the game...

  • does anyone feel uncomfortable seeing Zelda shoot arrows through Luigi's chest and out his asshole? ouch

  • @DeadOmega And why would her being the lead sage give her more control over Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, and Farore's Wind?

  • Is it just me or does Anita (Capcom tm) looks aliittle like the Zelda (with the brown hair I mean)

  • did anyone notice that when Luigi was hit by Zelda's final smash it looks like he's farting at the same time he's hit.

  • @TheRealHackmaster

    Yes i Do!

  • @yotubesocialhd2 You do know that Sheik is Zelda in disguise, don't you?

  • I do not get why Zelda and Sheik are the same characters in Brawl!

Besides the fact that both Zelda and Sheik are Playable Characters in Brawl.

  • Can you do sonic? :)
