How was Alberto Aquelani a flop? for coming to liverpool injured for 6 months , played well from january til the end of the season and linked up well with gerrard in the middle .. then at the end of season Benitez the manager who bought him got sacked and hodgson ahd to loan him out due to his wage bill with hicks and gillete . he never really got the chance to really prove himself.

@77Metallica LOL yeah my bad.Have you ever seen Coates play? .I don't think he will develop anything like Jenkinson, the guy is far superior technically has already got lots more experience than Jenkinson.This guy is getting in the Uruguay team at a young age with already good defenders there like Godin,Lugano and Caceres.Smalling for example wasn't even getting starts often for Fulham when Man Utd bought him but now he's pretty much a regular.

But I forgive you, probably an honest mistake.

I meant more like Jenkinson in the way he will probably DEVELOP into a decent player. Unlike Jones who has been performing to a decent standard already.

Coates is very good technically Jenkinson is not plus one is a CB the other a FB."He is 19 and is that many times better than Coates" How can you say that when you have hardly seen Coates play? Coates got player of the tournament at the Copa America that's like Jones getting player of the tournament at the Euro's which isn't realistic.Phil Jones cost more than 8 million do your research.
