The chamber (black thing) is replaceable, lets say in case of a damage. The led and the other electronic parts are not replaceable. The reason that is accessible is because at least once a year you have to open it to remove the dust (depends the place that the detector is installed)! Actually even that you are able to change it, you won't find spares, i needed one outside cover for other model of the same company but they doesn't sell spare parts.
