ELEX - 45km/h electric bicycle

This 45km/h e-bike is made for a design study to test the technical concept and your opinion about this concept...

The bike has mountainbike suspension and an oversized aluminium frame to hide all electronics. This ensures and stable ride and makes sure that the bike can handle the 1,6Kw motor. By pedalling along you can increase the speed of the bike, or use less battery power. The range is over 80km at speeds of 45km/h. If the bike runs out of battery-power, you can still pedal along.

@No666Respect but you're right you can get a 50kph motor for $130, its usually batteries that are the expensive part. You could build one for under $1000 with a bike (300-600) a 1000w motor ($130) a controller ($50) and lifepo4 (anywhere from 400 to 800 for a 48v battery in the 10-25a range)

@No666Respect yes but he got the steeziest electric bike that cost 5 cents to power, your car takes gasoline, costs thousands in insurance and requires license, license plate etc. with his bike he plugs it in, puts on a helmet then goes! doesn't matter how much he rides it for all he cares he could go up and down the same street for an hour and it'll cost him 5 cents
