In the studio with wildlife and landscape artist George McLean, he discusses his love for Grey county and his technique. A 30 year retrospective of his work is currently exhibited at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery until January 2011 then continues on to the McMichael Collection of Canadian Art, The Art Gallery of Sudbury, The Thunder Bay Art Gallery and ends up at National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jackson Hole, Wyoming from November 19 2011 to April 22, 2012. A major publication of his work will be available at the beginning of November.
The Tom Thomson Gallery in Owen Sound Ontario has a permanent collection which includes works by Tom Thomson, The Group of Seven, Carl Beam, Edward Burtynski, John Hartman, Emily Carr and many more iconic Canadian and international artists. Our major exhibition in 2011 will feature Judy Chicago's 'The Dinner Party'. See www.tomthomson.org for more details.
