David performs both songs from "Secrets of the Beehive" back-to-back on the Everything and Nothing tour. They sound great live, and I wish he would include them in his set list more often.

The lyrics are actually "I am the law, I am the king/I am the wisdom, listen to me sing" I think he is describing a "High Plains Drifter" type sociopath, and I don't think he identifies with him at all. Check out the link to the fanvid I've linked to in the 'About' block.

I love this song and this guy is one of my greatest influences. Pity there's no David Torn solo as in the original.

I think David sees himself as an Orpheus like character.
