Lack of $ has preserved many a "pre-Vatican II" church :-)

St. Josephats has the best music I have ever heard. It really sounds like an angel singing. I wish all EF masses had this quality of chanting. It is perfect.

many churches in downtown detroit were never renovated and so there are still many beautiful churches down here. however, the suburbs are a different story
