The basketball court scenes in the movie were filmed at the townhouse complex I live in. In fact, some of the scenes you can see my place (no fence with the white chairs in the yard). The graffiti was done for the movie - it isn't a slum like the movie portrays...
It took this long for me to finally get my hands on a copy of the movie and was really impressed by it's quality. I do a bible study at the local prison and am looking to focus a few sessions on this story.
