Stranglers Rock Goes to College Ugly Live 1978

Rare footage of the Stranglers on the infamous and never broadcast Rock Goes to College in 1978. The audio file of this gig is available on the web, but complete footage of the gig remains to be the Holy Grail of all Stranglers archive live performances. Hanging Around has been available for a number of years on You Tube in an edited format (the keyboard solo has been removed), but this is the first time that Ugly, their opening number, has been seen. This footage was found on a CD from a car boot sale.

If you listen to Black and White album, Jet has to reverse his bass drum to snare pattern at the opening to Death and night and blood, listen very carefully, I spotted this back in 78.

I first saw the Strangs in 78 at Bath Pavillion, opener Ugly, black and white new album, best gig ever, boogied right through. Great footage here, a rare treat indeed. Thank you.
