I remember on that movie, summer of sam, there was that segment where spike lee was interviewing a woman who said that if a black man was killing white people, there would be a race war. Well, not only did that not happen in this killing spree that happened 20 years before that movie was made, but, now, hardly anyone even acknowledges or knows of the existence of the Zebra killings.

In the 70s, SF's black population was as bad as any in the country. I grew up in the SE section of the city. They were absolute feral apes! They attacked every member of my family, multiple times. Nobody can tell me different, because I was there. All those other races were not nearly as prevalent then. It was very simple: Working class SF-rooted White Catholics vs. Ghetto welfare Blacks from the South. We stood up to those god damn bastards too.

I lived in NYC in a room rented by Patty Hearst for the longest period of her captivity. 111 E. 14th St. All this is hush hush. It has to do with the Zebra Killings. Talking with the landlord, Robert Sparks of Cleveland, Ohio, who rented out part of his loft to single females, was fascinating. We'd keep finding hidden microphones in that loft. It was very creepy and I have no idea why all this is suppressed.

@thirdpositionist I wouldn;'t put all of San Francisco blacks in a thug category. I grew up in SF in the early 60's till the late 70's. Had a Great Aunt who lived in the projects at Deharo/19th, her house in Dogpatch was demo for 280 FWY. It was a tough place but I found more trouble in the Fillmore.You had too be smart. The Zerbra Killers were just psychopath scum, not indicative of the average black man in SF. The Dot Com Pond Scum are the biggest threat now, it's called city soul murder.

@universalconnections how is that? Because it seems like you and many others are just mad because you don't want to admit that black people murdered people that looked white for that reason only. I say people that looked white because my pops is Armenian and Persian, but he was shot 11 times at point blank range while waiting at a bus stop by a Zebra. Admitting that the killings took place does not by any means take away from the civil rights movement in the rest of the country, so just admit it
