Aquarium Advice - How to Breed Fish in an Aquarium by Tyne Valley Aquatics

Short video explaining the basics needed to get fish sucessfully breeding in an aquarium. Mainly focusing on soft water (low pH) fish.
Future videos will include rearing fry, growing on fish and feeding methods.
Basically, you need to keep the water at the parameters desired by the fish you are trying to breed and feed them well. if they are happy, they'll most likely pair off and breed.

i'm trying to breed my albino oscars and no luck so far.They're 16 months old and 11 inches.I keep their water clean and feed them frozen bloodworms,crayfish,floating pellets,nightcrawlers,goldfish­,and rosey reds.I recently found out that my oscars were living in water with a hardness of 180.I dropped the hardness down to 20-30.I also keep the temp. around 82-83 degrees.Please help me, Ian

If you look it up on 'Seriously Fish' website there will be section on breeding oscars from people who know what they are talking about. If it was dwarf cichlids or community fish I could say with some sort of knowledge. For large fish, I'm not so sure.

People sell second hand wood cheap on aquarist classified but all the goodness is gone from it.
