Hi, this is Part 1 of a 2-part video to address the problem of binge eating disorder. in this video I give you helpful tips and ideas for dealing with binge eating. Our relationship with food is very complex and can sometimes get out of our control. We can change that with behavior modification, control, exercise, and making better food choices. It is my hope that this caring discussion will help motivate people who suffer from this disorder to become more aware that they can find helpful alternatives. Binge eating can lead to gaining excessive amounts of weight which can lead to serious disease, so help is important. Please subscribe and thanks so much for viewing!

  • Hi, I always like to check the sodium and fat contents of prepackaged foods. If it has a lot of sodium, I would pass on it.

  • @YouTips4U Thanks so much for the reply. It probably is too high. 9 grams of fat and 600 mg of sodium. Too much, right? Also, I tried your breakfast tip this morning. I had a bowl of a high fiber cereal with almonds and raisins in it and it made me full. I do have a binge eating problem and even if I'm eating healthy I find it VERY difficult to stop eating when I feel full. BTW, I love your videos!

  • Hi, it depends on how much of a serving you are analyzing. If this is for one patty, then it is too high. I'm so glad my breakfast video helped. Try getting up off the table and cleaning up when you feel full. Don't linger at the table because very often you will eat too much. This will happen to people a lot on holidays. They just sit at the table chatting and enjoying each others company and they pick and pick well beyond the full level. So try getting up and going to your computer.

  • I'm so glad that i found your videos because I used to eat a whole bunch of stuff just because I felt like I needed to be doing something, then i found some of your exercise videos and I've been working out for the past week everyday. I've never been more motivated than now. I'm 5'5, 164 and my goal is to get down to 154 by May. Thank you so much for your videos you are such an inspiration.

  • I have binge eating disorder,and i AM not happy with my weight and body on some parts, but i am not on a diet,i am not trying to get weight lost,so it is nog always THE thought of a B.E.D person.(sorry for my english).

    I have breakfast every morning, just bread, and lunch, an diner..but after diner (and the other food moments) i just have to wait 15 / 30 minutes and i want to eat again. I am so far in the disease that i think: i must not eat, go away from the kitchen,WHEN im walking to it. :(
