This was performed at a church during one of our concerts (i'm part of a college choir), and the organist popped this one on us....half of us girls jumped out of our skeletons.
Awe, my favourite Nigel. Thanks for posting. Never made it to St. Mary's whist in Edinburgh. Spent the entire day in Edinburgh Castle looking for hints of relatives!! :o) This organ sounds wonderful and the church has grand acoustics. If I every return shall have to check it out. I think this is Diane's best video of this piece. I know it tends to be repetitive but it's one of those tunes you just keep humming after you hear it.
GAWD! I know, I had the tune stuck in my head for weeks after I performed it! But hey, it's a whole lot better than having the Pachabel cannon stuck in your head. =)
