back in the 50's I used to ice fish on that pond at that time there was a outlet to the river from it and the old flour mill was still there. I knew Lee well and also Joe. In one of the pictures just west of the pond before the bend where the river turns north is what we used to call the hole and that is where we used to swim. We threw a lot of rocks into the river there on the south side to make a whirlpool and it was rather deep back then we also had a diving board on the north side. , Chuck
