SITE researchers are awarded the "2010 Project of the Year" by the Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) IBM Canada.
Guy-Vincent Jourdan, Gregor von Bochmann, and Iosif Viorel Onut, Emre Dintruck and Kamara Benjamin, have received the prestigious "Project of the Year 2010 Award" for their project "A Strategy for Efficient Crawling of Rich internet Applications"
Rich internet Applications are built using advanced web technologies which allow them to be more dynamic and enable better user experiences than their predecessors. This project was vital in designing and implementing a prototype for the Rational AppScan Enterprise and Rational Policy Tester products that is able to crawl and understand Ajax-based web applications.
