"Wintergarden" 23 yo Belgian Warmblood mare. Seemed stiff & inflexible in the past few months during light riding. Distinctly lame in left hind the day after a longer than normal trail ride. At the time of this video she had received two doses of 2g bute at 12 hour intervals. We started her on acetyl-d-glucosamine injections every four days - she has received 3 doses. Winter is on full turnout 24/7 and will not tolerate stall rest.

  • I have a horse who had something like that... Looks like it could be the stifle. If it's a torn meniscus, surgery is the only option.

My horse had surgery and it was successful, but the recovery, rest and rehab took approx 15 / 16 months.

  • aww poor girl. she's a cutie

  • my horse drags her leg wen she walking, but if shes trotting she limps on it ???
