@yowuzzuptheavenger I didn't mean repeat the song, I meant repeat doing the beatboxing. it worked the first time, but he did it again and it just didn't have the same affect as "You Give Love A Bad Name" did. I love his beatboxing in his original songs, but when you only have a minute and a half to sing you need to SING when it comes to Idol. I think that's part of what hurt him. The other part is that they wouldn't let him alter the winning song any, and it was better suited to Jordin's voice.

@DrummingHero3 Agreed. he rocked it on "You Give Love a Bad Name" but after that it seemed like he just kept trying to repeat that and it never worked out as well. it was a one time masterpiece. after that everything was like cheap imitation... No offense to him. I do also agree that he should have won :)

umm not rly...he got permission from 311 and hes in fact rly good friends with nick hexum.
for some reason they edited out the part where he said it was 311's version of "Love Song" by the Cure
and if u want to call him that, david cook never gave credit to doxology or any other band's arrangements he used except for chris cornell
even david archuletas version of imagine was this legendary female vocalists version,and ppl just use others versions (with permission) all the time
