  • I agree to learn how to learn Japanese swordsmanship you need to look for a real laido, kendo or any other traditional sword class, never learn how to use sword from martial arts classes they don't have the knowledge. use a

  • If you want to learn Katana please seek out an Iaido school near you. Do not waste your time with guys like this. Iaido is the Japanese marshal art of drawing, striking, and sheathing the Katana. If you don't have an Iaido school near you then look into Kendo.

    My biggest annoyance with this particular video is that the title and the content of the video doesn't, in my opinion, match up to each other. The title suggests that there will be brief but meaningful tips about using katana swords in a safe manner. But instead, it took him a minute to say "be careful and don't hurt anyone" without actually telling the audience how to do so like proper technique, etc.

I watch this video, develop a hypothesis, watch other videos with the same guy, comeback to this one to post this comment: You maybe an instructor, but I really hope that this isn't the normal way you to talk and instruct during a class because if it is then YOU SIR ARE STRAIGHT TERRIBLE AT ORAL PRESENTATIONS!!! REALLY!! USE SOME TERMINOLOGY THAT MAKES YOU LIKE AN INSTRUCTOR AND NOT LIKE A 'DUMB AMERICAN'!
