WSTM NBC 3 News @ 11 with "Enhanced Widescreen"

From 12/13/2010, this is the new look of WSTM, the NBC affiliate in Syracuse, NY. On this date, the station began broadcasting their newscasts in "enhanced widescreen."

I just realized that the audio is not in sync with the video. Argh!

It looks like they still have a few kinks to work out, but overall its nice (at least for a Upstate NY station). I agree that the CNY branding is a bit much, and the graphics are a bit choppy too. I feel that the "Enhanced Widescreen" sounds stupid, but whatever, they'll toot their horn whenever they can.

I'm just excited to see how WSYR looks when it goes HD and how much alike it will look like sister Newport station WHAM after their debut.

Graphics look quite overbearing and bulky, but I guess they'll do. I like the fact that I actually get to see the Syracuse skyline for the first time in any news open for quite awhile. I also feel that the "CNY Central" branding is a little redundant.
