  • this commercial is so moving I contact our local hospital hospice program and will start volunteering next month.

  • @MrAes09 Fantastic! Thanks.

  • Okay, I found it. Astonished as so many negative comments, but I guess that explains why there's no link to it with the others. I hope this commercial won't be withdrawn because of them, since I love it. Hospice nurses know which patients are most ill, and the average stay is about 50 days; Berta was probably newly admitted and is 'settling in'.

  • @MissyHolland I'm not sure what you mean by a "link to the others". They are all stand-alone. It is still up on the jnjhealth channel. Search for hospice nurses.

  • The goal of JNJhealth videos is for a better understanding of Health issues... does this help someone understand what Hospice is?

  • @angfreda I don't think the commercial was meant to be a comprehensive education about hospice, just an illustration of some of the possible aspects of being a hospice nurse. Perhaps a more informational piece would be a good companion piece.

  • As a hospice nurse and the CEO of a hospice program, I applaud J&J for this commercial and the message they are conveying about hospice nursing--the focus being on compassion and quality of life. I believe the message is saying death does not have to be imminent to receive hospice care.

  • This is my dream....I want to become a hospice nurse. To me, this is a calling. It takes a very special person to work with those who do not have much time left, and I feel this is where I need to be. I just graduated as an LPN, and I'm planning on going on to get my RN. In the meantime I want to do whatever I can to obtain as much experience as possible, and eventually make my dream of hospice nursing come true.

  • SHE'S TRAPPING HER SOUL!

  • funny

  • @KBLevine: sure she did, think about this the squeezing her hand made the woman feel good therefore HEAL. it does not say nurses cure at the end.

  • lol awesome

  • My dad works for hospice!

  • I believe some people are a little confused with the intended message of this commercial. And usually, hospice nurses do not heal but help patients stay comfortable and leave this earth with dignity. Some people are just so ignorant on subjects they know nothing about. I think this is a very touching commercial and I appreciate it.

  • She's not telling the nurse the Denmark traditions just for the hell of saying the tradition. Instead of straight up saying it, she gives a clue that she's ready to pass. What if she dies tonight? And her window isn't open... that's just... disrespecting the tradition. She's giving such an obvious clue! This really bothered me.

  • Brings a tear to my eyes every time..:'
