I am missing the parts that hold the bobbin in, do you know where I could find these?

Thank You for this! I have a Kenmore model 16, so this helped me a lot. What size/brand needle do you use for your machine? Thanks!

@imenstitches Needle brand: whatever the fabric store has when I get to town. Needle size: I sew a lot of heavy duty stuff(cordura and webbing) so I usually use an 18. If I can get away with it...I'll go down to an 11.

@mtvertcaver I have this machine, and the original manual. Re: 0:37, where you're pushing on the bobbin latch, the manual says: "push bobbin winder latch until it clicks." In other words, the latch (should) have a "closed" and "opened" pair of detents. It's either closed or open, should/ can be closed with the motor off - before winding.
Hope that helps someone. Hard to find much on this old machine.

@woofworldpa After your post I went and checked my machine. My machine doesn't have the second detent anymore. I consider it a minor problem...so I won't dig into my machine and try to fix it. And NO...I do not have a manual for my machine. Which means that I do not know how/when/where it needs oil. Perhaps YOU could make a "how/where to lube a Kenmore" video?????????
Thanks for sharing your info!!!
