UPDATE: This album is now available on iTunes! By purchasing this album digitally, you will be helping Michael Cassidy to continue his work as an artist creating great music... cheers! http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/a-change-of-heart/id251007198

Second track off the album "A Change of Heart" (Canadian pressing, Sudarshan Disc SD-1)

Michael Cassidy, a singer associated with the Hare Krishna movement, released an album in 1976 under the band name "Golden Avatar". It was distributed all around the world, and, believe it or not, it actually recieved a gold record plaque in Canada for amount of units sold!

An incredible folk-rock album with touches of prog and funk. I like the fact that the title track reflects the cover art and the funky Moog solo on "Time for Going Home".

  • My father bought the album from a Hare Krishna guy in the street in 1977. In Italy. I was a kid, I'm 41 now and still listen to it. Great Michael Cassidy!

  • @qwal1984 Correct, that's where they used to sell this album - ISKCON temples. I have two copies (one Canadian and one US), both of which I bought from the local thrift store.
