  • series or parallel? which is better in pc case fans? let's say 4 leds (just not blue). which is easier to construct using the 12v rail from the psu. If i want to add 8 leds, would it be possibe?

  • @chrissanne14344 It depends on the color of the LEDs. RED LEDs have about 2.1 forward voltage, blue LEDs have 3.2 Vf. Let's say you need to power 9 blue LEDs from 12 volts. You should run three series strings of 3 LEDs. This leaves you with only 2.4 volts to drop through a resistor in each string. If you need 15ma, 160 Ohm resistor is what you need (150 Ohm is closest common value).

  • I have some questions here?

for a 12.volt battery and two LED what're the resistor that I have to use and the color of the resistors?

if I using two LED, do I need one resistors for each LED or one its fine for both?

  • @Ernesto1za A 1/4 watt 330 Ohm resistor would work if using white LEDs.

    Orange orange brown

Use one resistor with all devices in series.

  • do I need 1 resistor for each led light?

    Please answer ..thanks...!

  • what resister do u need to 9v to 3 leds what resister

  • @chrissanne14344 parallel for lower voltage/higher Amperage series for higher voltage/lower Amp

in the end run I use paralel because I really dislike having 1 burnt and the others stop because of it.. like really old christmas tree lights... so anoying

  • for a 9 volt battery using 6 bulbs that are 12 volts in parralled,,, is this a good idea?

  • wat is the size of resistor in ohm do u use

  • wat is the size of resistor in ohm do u use

  • @chrissanne14344 in the spu output you have an orange cable, between this and gnd cable (black) you have 3.3v. between those cables you can conect in parallel some leds without need of any resistor! thats an easy way to conect leds! i used to have some green leds in my pc case and they never caused me any problems! practice and enjoy! ;)

  • and diy sites tell me to connect my fan leds in parallel! so im about to waste lots of power?
