Update: The 1TB WD hard drive I just picked up to replace my older Seagate 1TB... the box says 32MB cache but on the drive itself it says 64MB cache. Also, my older Seagate 1TB isn't dying after all. Windows backup/restore is really bad. It keeps failing and telling me the drive is bad. Even told me that on my new WD hard drive.

Is the seagate 1tb loud to you? I have the exact same drive in my iMac, and the read/write sounds get pretty loud.

@electrotech555 it does sometimes, not all the time. i now have SSDs and don't get any sound at all.

b: how do you mount it? i followed the directions, checked out other set ups and it looked right. care to share how?

c: ya cable management is not my thing but i have upgraded this rig twice and been doing better. i'll have a video soon

@syshizZz not sure what you're asking. are you asking why i chose to have a clean case? if so, it makes for better air flow w/o cables getting in the way. it's also easier to add components. or are you asking that i should have better cable management? i think being able to put all the wires behind the mobo is great. i could get a modular psu and only use cables i need but i didn't want to pay the extra cost.

@syshizZz It's not the easiest thing to do with that many hard drives. You can't get around having alot of cables that way.
