Damn, I've seen such beautiful footage of this paradise, the violence filmed here sucks. I only hear of poverty and rampant crime in El Salvador. That sucks too! It does not have to be this way! @waldolinares Mi esposa lives in Soyapango. We have so much fun when I am down there (every 4 months). San Salvador has dance clubs, good restaurants, Teatro Presidencial, etc. Independence Day, Sept. 15, rocks! Carnaval San Miguel ROCKS (November)! There are great beaches (black sand!). You must have in Olocuilta THE ORIGINAL, BEST pupusas. Cerro Verde is a beautiful mountain with coffee fincas, etc. There are Mayan ruins to see. We got married in Suchitoto -- historic, beautiful, peaceful.

@Soraya9 I agree 100% I am a gringo from Chicago, but go to SV every four months to be with my wife. I love the country and would move there in a minute if I could make a good living. That's the only bad thing (besides Maras) -- it is so hard to get ahead in life there on the wages.
