    Precisely. As derfanddarf said, the top part at the end was to show that Cobb was finally able to put the whole "is this still a dream" thing behind him. He got back to his kids, and that was all that mattered. It didn't matter to him if it was still a dream or not.

    You don't understand the movie Inception obviously. Terrible job of explaining the story. And the top at the end was to show that he left that life behind. The reason he gave up, was because he saw no way out. He accepted it. It saddened him, but he accepted it.
