Again, I must say that I agree with the Republican Governor Jindal of Louisianna. If you think the bill is bad: refuse the money! Its very simple. The Republican Gov. Sanford is a hypocrite and you shouldn't feel the need to be his apologist. Jindal is walking the talk by refusing $100M of the money, and even Jindal admits that the bill will still be helpful in other ways.

Well he didn't choose to do either of those things. There are always things can be done, there are actually an infinite number of possibilities. And in this case, this would be one of the more sensible and appropriate plans of action. The Democrats have the house and the senate. There is hardly any negotiating going on; they're dominating. The only way he can obtain support and have some meaningful say is by going to the people, the ones who actually control who's there.
