Governor General Michaelle Jean Canada

In Canada we have a Democracy that could all end up in the decission of our Governor General Michaelle Jean. First Black women to be on French CBC and very well liked by Paul Martin was inaugurated in Sep of 2005 and is now being asked to play a center role in our Canadian politics. Speaking 5 languages has helped her be a good spokes person for Canada, let's just hope she can defuse the situation.

I'm not a vegetarian but they way those seals are treated, including the way they are killed, is extremely inhumane. It wouldn't kill the fishermen to treat them more humanely. They should seriously ban the seal hunt if they can't do that. They could possibly be soon extinct.

Thanks for your comment, Michael has nothing to do with the hunt, and yes it is cruel to kill these animals, as it is most animals we kill. For now though, the world is far from being vegan, once we go down that path, we will be probably out of wearing fur--thank god.

You should seriously think of entering politics. Your viewes are very in time with getting ride of the fat. On the other hand when you receive people over for a party you more than not clean your house and try to have some sort of organisation to receive all these people. The governor General has it's place in a government, it is our politiciand that need to use her much better.

Well, democratically elected politicians use a lot of taxpayer's money as well: and they're less careful, since they're 'elected'. The budget is determineed by Parliament, so the people pay the Governor General.

We aren't surrendering our sovereignty to the United Kingdom any more than the UK is to us. Elizabth II is the Queen of Canada. I think the Governor General is a very illustrious royal institution worth preserving, personally.

Michaelle Jean was participating in a traditional Inuit feast. The Inuit in Canada hunt seals for *sustenance*. Jean was *eating* the animal, just as the Inuit in Canada do. If you are so against what she did, then I hope you also refrain from eating or wearing any type of animal product/byproduct).

You replied to my comment that was replying to someone who was attacking Michaelle Jean for eating the heart of a seal. Therefore I logically and sensibly assumed you saw Michaelle's action as either supporting the commercial seal hunt, which she has never indicated that she does, or as a round-about way of criticizing her for eating meat.
