Strictly evolutionarily speaking, homosexual can be called a disorder, but that same standard extends to abstinence (and any religion that advocates it) for the same reason- it hinders the natural drive to reproduce. People who use birth control also have a mental disorder- they are choosing to inhibit what they are clearly designed to do.
