  • does anybody know where i can get a one to one voice coach in london.... My voice is quite soft and i hate it...

  • Hi, did you find a voice coach in London?

Rgds Vince - re Youtube video

  • Hi, I did think of that originally but then there would have been 50% less content. I hope, that aside, you found it useful.

    Regards Vince

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. I wish you good luck with your speaking... All the best - Vince

  • Hi, there are literally hundreds of possibilities in vocal development. How often to practice? If you have the time and opportunity, ten minutes a day is good until you get confident with them. Then use different exercises to practice the thunder and the roar, the crackle and the whisper of the voice. Speaking is a skill, and like with any practical skill, improvement is made with practice. I could say much more but there's a character count limit. Regards Vince

  • Hi blissfullness93,

I am a voice teacher. One of the best ways to reduce the nasal quality in your voice is as follows:

Speak while pinching your nose shut and concentrate on sending the sound out of your mouth rather than up into the nose - you should aim to reduce the vibration you feel in your nose. Then once you can do that practice releasing the pinch, but keeping that same non-nasal quality.

    Hope that helps. :) x

  • "Not easy:" For you this maybe so, but I find basic English sentences quite easy to speak, even the rhyming [S] tongue twister you on this link appeared to me to struggle with.

I am English so have an advantage maybe?. ;F

  • i really don't understand english accent

  • @KirstyLouable

    Have you tried humming?

Try humming the happy bithday song.... Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, and so on.

At the end of humming the little song three times, count out as loud as you can manage, ONE. TWO, THREE, FOUR.

Then go back to humming the Happy birthday song a few more times.

Your voice should be restored within a few days.
