Quand il s'agit d'Haïti, les médias vont toujours aux pires régions du pays nous donnant une mauvaise image. Même s'il est vrai que le pays est pauvre, il ya des endroits magnifiques. Nous avons besoin de la diaspora à revenir à visiter. Peu importe où nous vivons, la RD, Panama, EU, France...Cela commence avec nous. Par ensuite nous pouvons cibler les touristes. C'est une honte que beaucoup d'enfants de la diaspora ne connais même pas Haïti et ne peut même pas parler créole ou français.

Aww, my dad is from Hinche. I'd love to go there one day. My mom & fam are from Croix des bouquets so i've only been around those areas. Thanks for the pics

I totally agree. I attended the Dominican parade in NY. The only difference was the language. As a matter of fact, there was a small band made of dominican-haitians who played a creole song. Every dominican attending the parade sang along and danced. When asked if they understood what was being said they say no and it did not matter to them.
The power brokers preferred to cultivate animosity between these two countries and have use the DR to destabilize Haiti.

@imjamming that what the history of the town saids, you can searh it on wiki pedia and the name of the president was pedro santana. its ok im not saying that it was under dominican control or anything like that but back in 1844 before the independence of DR the island as you already know was just one country.
maybe it was not a dominican twon but what i meant to say was that a lot of fominicans before the independence lived closer to what is now deep haitian territory.

I am not sure about Hinche being a dominican town as this is the site of the Bois Cayiman, the birth of the Haitian revolution which goes back to 1789.
