@gnx343 thats what the vent above the fan is for, the vent is burning because all of the hot air that gets built up in there and previously caused the red ring problem is being blown out of the vent via the fan. the system itself is fine, if it were actually overheating your xbox would shut off, another detail microsoft added in. so the fan works great.

i have it.its pretty great accept for about 1 thing that they reallly lie about.THE FAN IS FUCKING TERRIBLE!!!!!Play for 15 minutes the damn thing is burning up.

I just got the new Xbox 360 also, and it get LOUD AS HELL when the disc spins up. Also, a frikin dust / scratch magnet. Wateva.
