Gun Free Zone AKA Turkey Shoot

In the UK its against the law to carry any sort of weapon for self defence. Owning a modern hand gun is illegal as is owning a semi automatic full bore rifle. Fully automatic firearms are illegal full stop even if its only a air weapon. Effectively the UK is a gun free zone. Yet gun crime involving such banned weapons have increased many times over what it was before these weapons were banned. Not only that but violent crime in general has sky rocketed.
