With the protests in Wisconsin heating up, it's clear that cutting the budget and eliminating our debt won't be easy. But just how difficult will it be?

Do these teachers have a right to protest? Or are they teaching students across the country that it's alright to avoid responsibility and to demand that others pay?

  • This is bulls**t... First we are not a democracy but a republic...Secondly grab a history book and look at where both socialism and communism have ended up - with power and money in far far fewer hands...and with the people far broker and far more oppressed with, instead of a little voice...no voice at all...

  • @sheila36619 I don't think you got the point of the video. We agree, democracy is bad. However there is more than one alternative. And we totally agree about communism. This video advocates for capitalism and free markets.

  • Fear of the masses is a conservative value, not a Libertarian one? I beg to differ. It's not 'fear of the masses' we're discussing here necessarily, it's the problem with the idea of Democracy. Anyone should fear others having control over their liberties. That is what Democracy does - and that is what we're pointing out. True Libertarians are concerned about this. Everyone should be.

The argument of the video is that the gov. is functioning less and less as a republic and more as a democracy, hence the last line and quote of the video.

  • the unions must work together to shut down the economy until rights are restored a simple example of 500 or more tractor trailers blocking highways surrounding political buildingd, garbage piling up no snow removal, but the unions must hold steadfast in denying all services until rights are restored,

  • Your choice of overly dramatic music damned your video from the start. Fear of the masses is a conservative value. Not a libertarian one.

  • This is the problem with all states though, it doesn't matter how the leaders get their power, the fact that they have power is what makes it bad.

  • Lots of clips of cops about to beat people up isn't really making your case for you.

  • Excellent video. The rights of life, liberty and property have to come first. That is the point of a republic. Unfortunately politicians in a democracy consider the constitution a piece of paper and just count campaign donors.
