Using a Squier Jazz Bass Vintage Modified, plugged into a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8r. Audio recorded on Pro Tools using the Ampeg SVX virtual amps plugin; video edited on After Effects.

do you have to input the audio file into a video editing software?  if so, do you just have to match the two?

@kornskydiver I recorded them separately. Recorded video on my Macbook, audio on my desktop. What you see is what I'm actually playing, as I did more than one take recording both video and audio simultaneously. After I was done recording, I got the audio file into an After Effects project together with the video, and just tried to match it as closely as possible. Zoom in and be patient!
