  • In his autobiography 'Clapton', Eric says this was Ahmet Ertegun's favorite song... that Ahmet sang it to him often, in his "cracked old voice" Clapton played this song at the memorial tribute to Ahmet in '07.

  • James Booker does a great cover of this song, but the original is always great to hear.

  • Remember this from when I was a little girl - shhhh : ) early 50's

Thank you for sharing and in it's original version, nice! gjazz22

  • This is great!

  • Try listening to Mickey Newbury's sterling version of this masterpiece.

Percy also wrote 'Hit the road, Jack'...

  • Sade, did a remake of this song which is very well done with a modern spin. I didn't realize this song went so far back and was more of an old blues standard.

  • The best version is Geoff Muldaur's version on the Paul Butterfield Better Days album...

  • the sound of vinyl drive me crazy!...this is absolutely fantastic!

  • The Moonglows recorded a great cover in 1956.
