Maiden Love Part 7

I sighed, where did I get myself in? my father was right when she said that kings are selfish, how could a man who is supposed to be good and help the people from his kingdom be such a jerk toward women ? Im not used to live with other people but isnt men supposed to love, respect and rake care of women.

My father told me when I was young that someday I would leave him to be with the men I would love, he also told me to never fall in love with someone who wouldnt respect other people, for him if someone doesnt respect the others it means that he doesnt respect himself.

*by the way, whats your name ?* I looked at her *Demitria* I said, she smiled *beautiful name, I like it, Im Selena* I smiled at her *nice to meet you*

The next day I woke up at the sound of my new friend *Demitria, you need to wake up* I slowly opened my eyes *what is it ?* she sighed and sat beside me *it happened again* *what ?* I asked

She looked at me *I dont know if you want to see it ? but the king is throwing out one of his favorites * I sat up rubbing my eyes *isnt she supposed to stay here ? I mean you said he had three favorites women* she nodded *but he change one of them every month, I thought that maybe if you see it you wont fall for him* *what makes you think I will fall for him*

She sighed and looked away *even if you dont, he might find you good for him, he will make you one of his favorites, even if you dont want to* *and what happens if I refuse*

*he will kill you* she simply replied

*but why is being his favorite such a bad thing ? I mean doesnt every girl in the kingdom want to be one of them ?* she nodded *I have to admit that you got a point Demitria but his majesty as I told you is selfish, if he find another woman more interesting of beautiful he will make her one of his favorites, but when he will get tired of her he will throw her out. When you are one of the king favorites you have a lot of rights and power, but when you arent one anymore you will be hated by everyone you wont have any right, you will treated as a slut who sell her soul to the devil.*
