Maybe some device on Krang's robot (that had been fixed to the robot later, as he culdn't do that in earlier seasons)?

How did the portal re-open before Dreg is sent back to Dimension X? Maybe Krang's robot had got some own portal-device (that had been fixed to the robot later) .

@pinballman97 I wish it did. why was the technodroem so destroyed looking and why didnt they have Shredder, KRang or ROck Soilders.

@danfifepsu I guess the crew just wasn't that smart and wanted to show to end ASAP, forgetting what happened nine years ago. I wish it was redubbed with a more thoughtful line such as "It's that thing again!" Just watch "Shredder and Splintered", where around 16 minutes in, April says "What the heck's that?" And a little disappointing to see April ending up in the turtle van without congratulating the turtles after this battle.
