The news from the Hague appears to have taken the government by total surprise. Justice minister Mutula Kilonzo cut his assignment short in Naivasha to return to Nairobi for a crisis meeting with President Kibaki, Prime minister Raila Odinga and attorney general Amos Wako among others. NTVs Richard Chacha reports on a panic gripped afternoon that resulted in a brief, barely coherent reaction from the government.

  • These are all a bunch of thieves and murderous!

  • people writing here who do not care for the normal wanaanchi on the grounds of kenya are a shame to the human species. Obviously their conscience died a long time ago, they have no inkling of what integrity means...shame shame shmae!!!!!

  • Shame on you for Thinking that we have to go to the beast that enslaved us to solve our problems there.

you are obviously are the enemy of Africa!

  • Do you work in statehouse kenya? shame on u!

  • ProtectingAfrica - Stop thinking through some other body parts.

  • what's going on with this cartoon over in Kenya? I thought Kenya was one of the more stable of the African republics for a long time. Another banana republic.

  • I declare Kenya a ailed state, we are ruled by puppets rather leaders. What a shame! Annan sold them out! After more than 40yrs of independence Kenya still needs the white man to sort them out? If there is no confidence in the rule of law, then the constitution is invalid leading to a failed state. I believe Mr. Mugabe should be invited to lecture parliament, give them a taste of the black power. Today, for the first time ever, iam ashamed to be Kenyan.

  • About time, too!

Now if only the Hague could actually get something done. I fear it has a lot more bark than bite - no way to arrest perpetrators unless the host government cooperates, and how is that gonna happen if the people in government are the perps?

  • if its the hageu lets this people to be transported their ok some people like emilio karua ohuru kalonzo, kivuitu mutua and the rest ok am ready to take them their with my mkokoteni if the limo can not . ok asante wakenya wenye wanachangia mjadala.
