THis is how I play the song too, but I try to minimize string buzz by not sliding up and down on the strings as much. Someday the superglue in my tendons and ligaments in my left hand will mysteriously dry up and I'll be able to play like Dave crawling all over the fretboard.

has a dripping water quality to it. Lol...Takes Balls to post...good Job...And fucking idiot can criticize...
Keep working on it...you'll be fine.

You can play, but you have a very cheap guitar, need to work on technique, stop sliding our fingers up and down the neck, Get some EZ slide, a better guitar, some quality strings and that song will sound a thousand times better. Kudos for the ability, Good work, just practice technique, and muzzle out the sliding sounds. Thanks for having the courage to share though.

jesus will you please get some finger ease or something all i hear is string talk

not how dave plays it

People should not knock this technique. This is how I played the verse when I first learned to play it before I got the dexterity in my fingers and knowledge of the chords. Plus, it's also how I showed my younger brother how to play it. Sure, the sliding sounds bad, but I consider playing these shapes like this as a stepping stone.
Oh, and I play the chorus B-A-D-G. How do other people play it?
