When I went to Afghanistan in 2005, the Afghan people were going on with their lives pleased with the Taliban gone. Now it's a different story. Corrupt government, greedy people, and Taliban growing. There are a lot of kidnappings. Kidnappings of adults for ransom and kidnappings of children for their kidneys sold to Saudi Arabia. Pakistan is getting off easy. They are recruiting more taliban. Paying very poor people to come to Afghanistan to fight the Americans and the Afghans.

I really like that we are in AfPak. It is good that democracy is spreading like it is. I like that we are fighting for our freedoms for the people there. It is good we will not leave there. People need to support our democratic process there. I like we are doing that.
