Help! My computer won't start! Okey i got a Windows XP Home Edition and the problem is that.

Step 1: When i try to start the computer it says this: Windows could not start beacuse following file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system

You can attempt to repair this file be starting windows setup using orgional setup CD-rom. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

The problem is that i dont got any setup CD-rom and I've tried to press R at the start screen to repair, but the computer just restart.

Step 2: At this step i tried to install Windows XP Home Edition at new. When i came to the installation program I got three questions, first was: If you wanna install Windows XP now, Press ENTER (That I did in this video), If you wanna repair a windows XP-installation with help of the restore console, Press E and the last was If you want to quit the Windows XP installation, press F3. After i pressed ENTER I came to some crap I had to read and after that I got three new options, first was, Press ENTER to install Windows XP now (Like i did), Press P to set up a (word i dont know in english, but in norwegian it is) partisjon on the un-partisjonerte area and the final option was Press R to delete a selected partisjon. But my problem at this step is that, When i pressed Enter I got this blue Error screen.

At the start screen I've also tried to press DEL to get to the BIOS menu and thats no problem, but im not actually sure about what I have to do more...

Would be so great if someone could help me with this.

  • Yeah dude this happened to me. You must off accidently deleted that file. I did not have the Cd Eather so i just took it to some guy that fixes computers for 20 bucks. If you dont want to send it to geeksquad or other places that charge hella money just go to the Laundromats and look at the adds some people post in the wall. Some well say that they fix computers so get their number and call them. Good Luck.
