If you use one of these types of heaters, I "Highly" recommend you set it one place and don't move it. These types of heaters use Quartz Infra Red bulbs to heat a copper heat defusier, if you move it especially if the bulbs are hot, they will blow and heater will not work. I learned the hard way. My EdenPure Series 1, one month after 1 year waranty, EdenPure customer service terrible, no help. Offered to fix for as much as originally paid. No thanks.

Folks do a few minutes of research and you will discover that these heaters don't work any better than a $15 space heater from Wally world. Your first tip off should be the fact they use infomercials to sell these. See the consumer reports review here on Youtube. Look...1500 watts is 1500 watts whether you paid $200 for it or $15 for it. Both produce the exact same amount of heat. The Edenpure is better looking and safer around kids. That's all. Heats the same.

I believe the fact that you have all-electric heat is the main reason you're happier with EP than many reviewers. If Eden Pure were more honest in their advertising, more of their customers would be this happy, but they'd sell fewer units. Electric space heaters can make sense for anyone with electric resistance heat or oil, but those with gas or a decent heat pump (especially a ground-source HP), it will be much harder to save money with plug-in space heaters. Hope they keep serving you well.

@simplecommentary Well, I'll let ya know how this heater works for me. I picked one up at lunch and will power it up this evening. If it doesn't earn its keep by saturday, back to Lowes its goes.
Thanks for the videos, fine reviews. I've a question for you, if you'd please take the time to try to answer. Do these heaters warm an area some what quickly? I'm looking for a heat source for my basement den. An unheated area about 700 sqft, and is usually about 58 deg in the winter could I turn this heater on in the morning and by noon expect the den to be somewhat warm? Or do you think these heaters are meant to be turned on and left on for long periods of time only?

@lastchip Our home is very well insulated and when I set our 2 for the winter they aren't turned off for months. However they do warm the areas quickly, are very quite and we love them. I've never been contacted by the company although these little videos have been viewed more than 15K times. So I've nothing to gain but the satisfaction of sharing my experience with our 2 heaters. They honestly save us app 100 bucks per month all winter. simple

@1224gizzy They're electric so you plug 'em into a standard 110 outlet. I strongly recommend getting the larger heater as it canl cycle instead of running all the time. I originally bought 1 large unit and 1 small one but soon returned the small one and traded up. Good luck. simple

Do you have to plug them up to your socket or do they use gas?

@myvidstv1 You plug it into a standard 110 wall socket. I bought a large unit for the family area and a small one for the master B/R. I soon returned the small one and traded up because the small one ran all the time where as the large one cycles. I highly recommend getting the larger one. Plus it is remote control... simple
