  • There are alot of GREAT dulcimer players out there, but you are easily the BEST performer of mountain dulcimer. You have such a great stage presence!

  • Well, thank you, Hunter - I appreciate the kind words, man. Aloha!

  • nicely done Bing, you are so good at this..., hey maybe we can try for the most mountain dulcimers in one place playing a Bing arrangement,,,, no really. Call guiness.. I vote for seminole solstice.

  • Thank you! Now hearing "Seminole Solstice" played on a bunch of dulcimers would be really far-out. Maybe I should teach that one next year at KMW.

  • Woo!

  • Hi Bing! Your new CD samples sound beautiful! I didn't know you play flute (whistle?) so beautifully as well as dulcimer. Save me a CD...will buy when I see you at KMW.

  • Bing, I didn't realize how well you play the flute (whistle?)! I love the samples of songs on your latest CD. Save one for me. I'll buy it when I see you at KMW!

  • bing,

thanks for the fastudious reply. i am curious about your double neck dulc, do you prefer it over the others? do you have a particular favorite, style, model, or shape to play? they are different to play aren't they? what woods do you like yours made of? i understand different woods sound different. how long should one try to play each day? i'm medically retired and have lots of free time. i appreciate your answering my questions.

  • Hope is a great start, belief and patience will see you on your way. You can be as good as you wish to be! I've played for a number of years but really only started truly learning the instrument inside and out around five years ago. I've been very "hungry" for improvement - and you will be rockin' if you give it a little gas every day. : ) Most of all - enjoy the journey!
