The Mid Essex Model Railway Club's 32nd exhibition held at Shenfield High School, Brentwood Essex.
19th Sept 2009.
This shows a shuttle bus from the station to the exhibition & exhibitors 1 & 4.
The bus is a Bristol RE Ulsterbus TOI 2316.
Exhibitor 1 is Padmoor OO gauge by Mike Boon.
"After leaving Bodmin station on the way to Wadebridge, the branchline to Padmoor is seen leaving the mainline.
Trains in this area were operated by both the Great Western & Southern Railway companies jointly.
This layout is set around the 1940's & 1950's & uses ready-to-run stock, which has been detailed.
However you will not find Padmoor on any maps, as it is pure fiction."
Exhibitor 4 is Shorwell, Isle of Wight OO gauge by Geoff Baker.
"Displaying the intermediate station, as it might have looked if the Ventnor to Freshwater line had ever been built.
The period is early 1960's, during the last years of steam operation on the island just after the closure of the line to Freshwater.
Rolling stock is typical, but not neccessarily correct, for the location & are either RTR or kit built.
Locomotives cover the period from the 1930's to the end of steam, showing the classes in use plus one or two that might have been if proposals had been implemented."
forget the bus, look at the Audi R8!

Tim, I doubt if there are many who appreciate watching these videos as much as I have. It is great to see you all maintain the MEMRC tradition of high quality exhibits after a significant number of years. Only sorry I could not be there in person. Steven Duhig.
