This is a game I coded in C using SDL. Made it in just over a day for the Ludum Dare game jam, August 2011.

  • how does the light work?

  • @Z3r0XoL It's not too efficient. For rendering, each tile within the bounds of the screen checks 20 points between its nearest corner to the player and the player. If any of those points hit a wall, it doesn't render.

  • amazing!

  • im guessing he uses sin/cos and does a ray cast for each degree to see if a tile is visible in the player's perspective.
