When a mysterious, driverless black sedan begins running people down in a small Southwestern town, new sheriff Wade Parent (James Brolin) must find out who -- or what -- is behind the killings. What he uncovers is a truth more terrifying than anyone expected. Is it pure evil? This cult horror classic from director Elliot Silverstein also features Kathleen Lloyd, R. G. Armstrong and John Marley.

Poor car....thing's so angry 'cause it needs a woman to sooth the savage beast within! Should have met up with Christine. Could you imagine that? The Car and Christine see each other and "Let's Get It On" starts playing. Talk about your rear-ending!

I remember seeing this on tv way back in 1977 (I was 8 years old) at a friends apartment. After it aired that night, I had to go home. I lived in another neighborhood and had to take the bus. After the bus left me off at my stop, I still had to walk a couple blocks to my place. As I walked down the sidewalk, I warily eyed the cars parked in the street, scared to death that one of them just might jump up out of the curb and chase me (I was a coward)! Thankfully I lived on a 2nd floor apartment!
