@zozer2 and who can forget hand in hand Seoul '88 sung by koreana, that was pretty amazing, and who can also forget the closing of the '68 games when all the athletes came down from the stadium seats to join the dancing in the center arena

@thompsonrobuk more like the South of the United states saying welcome, with some down home taste and there is nothing wrong with that, i say it was the most meaningful welcome ive seen ever in my years watching the ceremonies

I truly believe that this segment was better than anything Beijing put on. I felt the entire '08 ceremony was about glorifying China rather than welcoming people to the games.
