This video is outdated - for anyone struggling to locate the code, check out the "Tracking Code" section when clicking on the Gear icon, which can be found on the domain overview page (at the top-right of the page, directly beneath the Sign Out link).
This is a great simple, straight to the point explaination. Exactly what I needed, rather than many other mono toned so called tutorials nearly put me to sleep.
"In Google Chrome, click the page icon..." Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm not using Google Chrome. Now what? If I needed Chrome then maybe I ought to be told that BEFORE trying to use Analytics. What gives?
Ok what if the tracking code in the page source is exactly the same as the code in the status page, but google analytics still does not even show me that it is waiting for data?
Why can't Google stick a little link "Include" or "Get Your Tracking Code" right next to the "Edit" choice on the overview? What a silly goose hunt game this procedure is.
