  • It's not 100% the same, it carries an extra FMGS as well as certain switches near the windows being different

  • I remember back in the day when the captain used to leave the flight deck door open during mid-flight.

Terrorism has always existed and it isn't any worse than it was twenty years ago when flight 103 was blown out of the sky. The 'climate' isn't what's posing a threat, the climate is the fear and the state of mind that has manifested its self in the form of people filing reports against pilots who let their nephews into the cockpit.

You my friend, are a victim of fear.

  • Qatar Airways...?!?!? whats the location of the airline during filming?

  • I noticed 1 of the switches on the overhead has a yellow tag on it. Is the switch in operative, tagged using the MEL (Minimum Equipment List)?

  • @airlineman2201 that's the microphone for talking to ATC

  • @TuPP3

Nah, you can still do some good hand flying.

Takeoff can only be hand flown (autopilot can be engaged from 200ft or above I think). The rest you choose whether to do yourself or let the A/P do.

  • what is the controler for in the pilots hand at 2.22

  • wow..FL410..nice altitude..hahah

  • I'm looking forward to be airpilot someday, How are those planes flown nowdays? Is it just push of a button to take off, land and cruise? There is that sidestick ofcourse for exception situations.

Thanks for the video, maybe quite hard to get material like this :D

"Can I go to flight deck to record a video for youtube?"

    "sure, why not :)"

  • That's because they're so far ahead of the engines. In fact, in the cockpit most of the noise is from the avionics cooling fans, the air conditioning, and the rush of the air outside, you can barely hear the engines at all. If you're sitting behind the engines, there's much more noise.

  • wow... it is so quiet in there, not like in economy class...
